What size pump fits a 16 oz soap bottle?

Most 16 oz soap and lotion bottles take a 28/400 pump: 28 mm across the neck threads, standard 400-series thread. It is the most common closure on soap, lotion, and Boston round bottles, which is why replacement pumps in this size fit bottles from many different makers.

To check yours, measure straight across the threads at the mouth of the bottle. If it reads 28 mm, a 28/400 pump fits. If your bottle came with a pump that failed, the bottle is usually fine: the pump is the moving part, and the part worth replacing.
