Why amber glass for soap dispensers?
Amber glass blocks light, and light degrades what is inside the bottle. That is why pharmacies have used amber glass for light-sensitive contents for over a century. The deep amber acts as a filter, so soaps keep their color and scent longer than they do in clear bottles on a sunny counter.
There is also the practical difference you feel: glass has weight. A glass dispenser stays planted when you press the pump one-handed, where a light plastic bottle slides and tips.
Ours is pharmaceutical-grade amber glass sourced from Austria, with the lettering heat-cured into the glass rather than stuck on: it wipes clean and never peels. Small variations in the glass are part of the character.
